Month: November 2019

Bluebox/Peertoro changes to DIY payment system, including rentals, and bluebox not available in several payments anymore.

So far Pascal have manually been processing all the payments. When you ordered something, he would give send you an exact invoice. Similarly, if you had Rented some service, he would each month send you a new invoice.

This, however, consumes a lot of time as you can imagine, and in an effort to save some time, these are now changing into the Do-It-Yourself system.

From now on, when you buy anything from either Blueboxing.net or form Peertoro.eu, you are not supposed to wait for the invoice anymore, but instead, when you order your product, you are supposed to check from Coinmarketcap the current value of Telos or XBTX, and send the equivalent amount of Telos/XBTX to cover the bought.

And do notice, you are not supposed to cut the possible 30 percent discount from this price but just pay the full price, and you will get this 30 percent discount as a cashback at a later point.

Another change will be in Rentals. So far you have been sent an invoice once a month to continue your rentals, from now on you need to take care of yourself to pay the rental price each month.

Every now and then Pascal will look through his rental deals, and if he notices you haven’t paid that months rental, then he assumes you have wished to cancel your deal and he will shut down the deal.

This change does not however affect those who have bought (not rented, but bought) blueboxes in several payment installments, these customers will still get invoiced as before.

However, do notice that to save time from sending invoices to these customers too, Pascal have now withdrawn this offer from new customers. So old customers will still get their Bluebox payments as usual, but no more new ones will be sold with that offer anymore. Now you either buy the box full, or you don’t.

If you don’t like this new system but would rather still get invoiced before paying, you can check what YourBrainOnBlochChain offers, after all, they are the alternative to ordering from Blueboxing.net or Peertoro.eu.

Melchionda Network having Live AMA call with John McAfee tomorrow

As the title says, the quality of Melchionda network programs is going to take a notch down.

Well, you can stay on top only for so long and after Pascal Papara being there most of the last Krypto Fridays episode, what else is there to do to keep it on same level anymore, hence the expected dropdown on quality where Pascal is now replaced with John McAfee.

The good news is however that you are free to ask John McAfee whatever you want, I was basically thinking of asking him for one million dollars.

And Melchionda Network also said he is planning on mentioning Telos in that live stream, so not all is lost but there might still be some quality content along the rest there. Who knows, perhaps even John McAfee will start talking about Telos, making the program much better than first expected.

This live stream live call with not Pascal Papara but with John McAfee will start tomorrow at 5 pm (CET) and this time I suppose they will even talk in some understandable language like English instead of their usual not so understandable German language. We finally don’t need to rely on YouTubes auto-translate, unless of course, you happen to be a German with no English language skill.

Remember to tune in on right time. it might not be as good as the Pascal episodes are, but we should still show our support to Melchionda Network in hopes we will in the next program again see some more quality, Pascal content.

Telos Video from a year ago

A video that seems to have escaped our attention, and already from a year ago?

This is why we need TELOSNEWS.COM which, had it been around a year ago already, would have told you already in time that there is such a video existing.

Right now it seems most Telos community members are not aware of this video at all.

So here you are, a Telos Video from a year ago which seems to be more relevant today than it was a year ago, as Cryptomages and Bitdorado mentioned in this video are only just about to be released now.

Lucky Seven Monday article: “Do hackers attack your masternode server? How to check and prevent”

Lucky Sevens Monday article this time is talking of something very noteworthy for any of you who are running your master nodes in either your own servers or on any VPS platform.

This article is all about your Server security, and it applies even to miners to some extent. For I can from my own experience tell that one time my S9-machines got hacked by brute force exactly as Lucky Seven here is describing.

Yes indeed, one morning I woke up and thought network had gone down as all machines in a certain location had stopped mining. However, when I called to other guy who had some of his machines at the same place, he’s machines were all working fine.

So I went to check to the spot, and what did I find… Someone had changed my wallets in these machines into their own wallets, and funnily, they had even changed Litecoin miner’s wallet into a Bitcoin Wallet, meaning they didn’t actually get anything from that one.

How did this happen? The explanation was simple. I had not changed the default username/password combinations, while the other guy had. As I had remote access to these machines, so did anyone else on the internet.

Therefore someone went on through internet checking bitcoin miners default username/password combination, and if succeeded, changed their own wallet address through settings. Luckily in my case, my machines mined only for three hours for that hacker, but had I not been keeping my eye on my machines constantly, he could have got considerably much more.

To avoid amateur mistakes and losses like this, you better read Lucky Sevens’ newest article about some simple security measures you can take on your Servers, be they VPS or residing at your own house, they are equally vulnerable.

KYC coming to some Telos services – handled by Civic

You might have noticed that many Crypto Exchanges stopped at the later part of this year. This is because laws have changed and are about to change even more having made some exchanges decide to stop instead of complying with the new laws as it had been too hard or expensive to do so.

At 2020 new set of laws will come to effect that will also collide with some of Pascals plans and therefore some Telos projects in the future will need KYC (Know Your Customer) verification done before they can legally be offered.

Luckily this isn’t so bad a situation as it first sounds.

As many companies, smaller ones too, suddenly need to start performing KYC on their customers, this is clearly a problem to them since it can take a lot of resources to keep KYCing people, especially when profits per customer can be quite a small amount only in some of the businesses.

But when there is a problem, it might also be an opportunity, and so it is this time too and companies like Civic have popped up to solve this problem by bringing not only a win-win situation but a win-win-win situation where all parties benefit.

Civics win is that it now has a business from KYCing people. Customer Companies, like Pascals, benefit is that they don’t need to worry about KYC when they can just pay Civic to handle it. And Customers benefit is that when they get KYCed by Civic once, they don’t need to do that again on any of the services that keep using Civic for their KYCing.

This also means that when you KYC yourself once at Civic, you will in future be able to use any Telos services without KYCing a second time.

If you want to be prepared for the future already, you can go and download Civic App to your mobile from Civic.com and KYC yourself.

So far Pascal has specifically only announced that Blueboxes will get affected by KYC and that you either should KYC yourself by the end of December, or if you don’t wish to KYC yourself, sell your boxes away.

Krypto Friday with Pascal Papara

Well, well, well. It was only in last krypto friday news item that I suggested that you cant make Krypto Friday any better than by having Pascal Papara there, and obviously Krypto Friday understands that reading TELOSNEWS.COM is the best thing in the world to do when dealing with cryptos, and they took a hint and this time, or at least the ad seems to suggest that, Pascal Papara is a co-host in today’s Krypto Friday.

Next step, Pascal Papara show, but until that happens, you can get a sneak peek to it by watching today’s Krypto Friday, starting this time earlier than usual, a bit over ONE hour later already.

But do remember, they still keep talking the German language.

Official Bitcoin Subsidium Website

Yesterday evening Pascal announced that there is now an official Bitcoin Subsidium website existing.

At later point this website will include links to main and backup explorer as well as links to wallet, but right now it is what it is.

What can I say, some people just have eye for beautiful pictures

No more rental Blueboxes and xMiners, plus a scoring system in works to Blueboxes

In an attempt to get Transcendence/Telos/XBTX more decentralized, Pascal has now made a decision that he won’t offer Rental purchase option for Blueboxes or xMiners anymore, this is simply because Rental options were kept in co-location, and co-location is not a wished option anymore as right now this co-location option has resulted in that most Telos nodes, for example, reside in same physical location. Give a well-targeted Hurricane or two, and most of the network could be down.

In an effort to physically decentralize the network, and hence make it more secure, Co-Location is now reserved only for those who are paying their Blueboxes/xMiners in full.

Also, the price of Co-Location for new customers is likely to go up as well.

In another attempt to decentralize blueboxes, Pascal is now working on a new scoring system to blueboxes, which is actually good for all of us who own them.

His first thought is that each box would get more points each month, depending on age, co-location, and warranty.

First suggestion from Pascal was that each month would gain 10 points to a bluebox, regardless of where it is. So 3 months old bluebox would be worth 30 points in total, while 5 months old bluebox would be worth 50 points in total.

However, in addition to aging, making older be worth more, if bluebox resides at home instead of co-location, it would get another 10 points each month, in previous example, 3 months old bluebox at home would be worth a total of 60 points, while 5 months old bluebox at home would be worth 100 points in total.

And as last would be a warranty. If you have bought Telos Warranty, then your blueboxes would accumulate an additional 10 points more.

The idea with these points is that every time box would accumulate 120 points, they would receive another 30k Telos node in them, paid by the company. Notice however that in this case collateral would also belong to the company, but who cares as long as the profits are anyway coming to you as usual.

In other words, a bluebox in co-location could in this model be getting a new 30k node for free only once a year, while bluebox at home with a warranty could get a new free 30k node every four months.

That is pretty much an incentive there to get your blueboxes running at home instead of keeping them at Co-Location.

Do you think the Points system is good? Or should it perhaps be different?

You can join the Discord Channel and discuss about it, as this was just the suggestion Pascal made and he was asking for feedback about it.

Pool of Stake has set up their first Telos node

First Cryptos were minable with normal home computers, then you started needing ASICs, and after that Solo mining didn’t seem sensible anymore but it was best to get to one of the mining pools.

Then there came Proof of Stake coins which seemed like the future of “mining”, and this is where they got an idea. Why not make a Pool of Stake, which would be a pool consisting of many different Proof of Stake coins.

It also appears this Pool of Stake is showing some good taste for, after all, it was only yesterday when they tweeted that they had just set up their first Telos node at stake.noku.io and that they even want to beta test upcoming Cryptomages.

Pool of Stake showing Pool of Wisdom

Unfortunately, stake.noku.io shows only sign up page, and as I didn’t want to bother signing up, I don’t really know much what this is, except this is through which Pool of Stake currently works and it is in Estonia and holds some license(s) making Pool of Stake ideas possible.

The Pool of Stake idea is that they have several different Pools there, one for each coin, which is currently 14 Different coins with 56 Total nodes.

The idea is basically that if I want to participate in the Telos pool for example, then there will be a wallet address where I can send my Telos coins. After that, my share of profits comes as Telos too.

They are also on the process of updating their website, hence it is a bit unclear right now.

If you wish to join Pool of Stake, do it through stake.noku.io.

a Milestone reached: Telos hacked

With Scam coins, you don’t need to worry about hackers, since the coin itself is sort of “hacked” so why would any hacker bother hacking it anymore when there is no money there except for the original “hacker”.

Telos has now reached a milestone by having gained an interest of hackers since even they think it is worth their time to make a hack to Telos to gain some.

This is also a good tip for any investor, thieves don’t rob empty warehouses, but they rob the ones full of gold.

To be fair, this isn’t the first time hackers have found it worthy of their time to find vulnerabilities in Telos, but we already have had our share of fake wallets and phantom nodes, but there is one difference this time. This time we reached another milestone where not only a hacker hacked but also someone even saw it worthy of dedicating a website for it.

There it is in all its glory – the first webpage dedicated to a Telos bug!

You might have noticed this news item is categorized in the rumors category, this is due to us not having confirmed this bug – for a reason.

So claim is that there is this alternative wallet that you can find from the before mentioned website.

When you use this wallet for staking, you would get more than your fair share of coins. The website claims of having used 30 000 coins for staking and having received 500 more coins in just one day, which sounds pretty good amount, basically an ROI of only 2 months, until everyone else starts using the same of course.

However, this test was made already a month ago, at a time it is actually known that some of the big wallets were not staking, hence it is bit questionable how effective that hack actually is, since there’s a chance that on a single day during that month, staking could have been that profitable anyway, just not for long term.

When the guy, who I suppose to be behind this website, reported about this problem to Pascal, Pascal basically said it was known by him already before and issue is such a minor issue compared to trouble fixing it, that feel free to expose this bug until it is being fixed at next natural fixing moment.

Anyway, if you like, and dare, feel free to download the alternative wallet and stake for example 30 000 coins to perhaps gain 500 coins a day, or perhaps lose 30 000 coins in less than a day, after all, reason, why we don’t, recommend you anything but official wallets is since there have been wallets before which purpose is simply to have access to your coins to move them out of your reach to the alternative wallet creators own wallets.

Maybe you gain some unfair staking rewards, or maybe you just lose a whole bunch of coins for the alternative wallet creator’s wallet. Your choice, Your risk. Personally I will keep away from that wallet, and so should You.

DelionDEX exchange lists Telos/BTC pair

Delion Coin has set up its own decentralized exchange DelionDEX Exchange just recently, and what a better way to start an exchange but by including Telos as one of the traded coins, and this is exactly what the DelionDEX Exchange has just done.

It might be they are still small and only starting yet, but at least they have more promising start than some bigger exchanges like Binance who still don’t see what coins they really should be listing, but instead they keep constantly adding some sub-par coins while at same time calling through twitter for coins like Telos is.

Those of you who like to support something new, you could consider going to DelionDEX Exchange to trade some Telos.

All set and ready and first trade, probably test one, already done. Now it is time for the next ones!

HostingCoin Investments adds Telos with Tiers to their followed Coins.

We have yet another Masternode Statistics giving service that has listed Telos, and with almost all 5-Tiers of it, for strangely, the 1000 tier is missing.

This service is called HostingCoin Investments and it doesn’t actually limit itself to just giving Statistics, but as the name suggests, it is also offering hosting services, although not for Telos at least yet, and it also appears they are even planning on putting up their own exchange.

While it might be a bit small at this point still, it surely has a good taste, better than most of the big ones, since this place has even placed Telos-Tiers on top of their list.

And the ads they display, such aesthetics!

-sniff-.. so beautiful.. ..so beautiful.. -sob-

Lucky Seven Monday Article: “Transcendence announced BLUEPOOL for its devices” available

As xMiners are pretty much sucking all the new XBTX coins coming, there is now a Bluepool to let the little fellas have something too.

Basically 20 percent of new coins are put aside, out of xMiners reach, to the bluepool, from which these coins will be distributed equally to each device, regardless of their power, just like master nodes basically, or at least that is how I have understood the Bluepool.

Anyway, Lucky Seven has this time on his Monday article that actually did come out on Monday for a change, dedicated the whole article to telling about Bluepool.

Krypto Friday ep 26 with Pascal Papara as a special quest.

A half regular or a special quest? It doesn’t matter, you cant get Kryptofriday any better than by having Pascal Papara in it.

Yep, it is time – 2 hours later to be more precise – for another quality episode of Kryptofriday, the program that’s only fault is that they tend to talk a bit too much German and much less English in it.

Usually the proportion between German-English language is around 100-0 percent, but luckily Youtubes auto-translate will help those with a lack of German-language skills. Sure, you might end up eating mirror eggs, but rose by any other name, or fried eggs, still taste the same.

Little bird sang, or not so little Pascal told, there would be some spontaneous updates about co-operations, listing stuff, and project status. well worth a look as live I suppose.

Melchionda Networks “Top Profitable Masternodes” – video naturally including Telos

It is always nice to see some quality journalism and Melchionda Network is doing it again with their Top Profitable Masternodes-video, which naturally includes the top profitable node – Telos in their list as well.

Unfortunately, video is once again in German-language only, so most have to rely on auto-translate to find out what he is talking about in that video.

All you need to know is that Telos belongs to top profitable master nodes, now you can still continue being ignorant about german language.

New Telos Article “Transcendence, The project that is revolutionizing Blockchain.” by Alejandro Finol

There’s a whole new writer writing about Transcendence/Telos called Alejandro Finol who is writing a short general introduction about what Telos is and while pointing out that trading volume is still quite low, the project itself is very promising.

And what is best is that at the end of his article he seems to be promising of writing more articles about Telos. You can be sure that TELOSNEWS.COM will, as usual, keep an eye out for them for you so you don’t miss any of them.

Now hop on and read the article from either of the below places:

Android Wallet is now free – Bounty Coins moved to make iOS Wallet free Bounty

Now there is no more excuse for you to not having Telos Wallet in your Android devices since Android Wallet has now become free for everyone to download.

However, Bounty intended to make Android Wallet free never got filled and the collected bounty amount is now moved to serve another purpose, to make the iOS Wallet free.

Right now iOS Wallet costs you 9,99, but that can all be changed by filling up the governance.rocks bounty that is now concentrating on getting iOS Wallet free of charge like its companion Android Wallet now is.

So hurry up people and donate your share of Telos to the bounty before the price of Telos goes up even more making donations that much more expensive to make. Had you done it back in time already, you would have got it done for half the price than it is now.

Lucky Seven Tuesday Monday article “Transcendence at huge AIBC Summit in Malta” is out.

This time Lucky Seven released his Monday article both on Monday and Tuesday, depending upon the platforms timer you are reading it from, and even in places with Tuesday, he missed it by a couple of hours only. So fair to say it qualifies for a Monday article, especially since it was Monday for him still when he released them.

Newest Lucky Seven article talks about the Maltas AI & Blockchain Summit and Transcendences visit there with Pascal Papara and Sandra Loi (=YourBrainOnBlockChain.com).

To find out more about what that Summit was, read from one of the following locations:

iOS Wallet updated

iOS version of Telos Wallet has been updated and updated version should have appeared all over the world already to AppStore, or if not in your AppStore yet, then it soon should be.

This new version will add DNS-seeder helping your wallet find a suitable node quicker and hence to sync and work faster.

As always, remember to write down your backup phrase before you update it in case something goes wrong. If you don’t, you will risk losing access to your coins for good.

Malta Rumors

As reported earlier, Pascal was in the Malta Blockchain summit.

From this meeting, Pascal have already talked about some things, and here’s the summary:

Pascal have now made some new friends all the way between US and Dubai.

Then there is some IEO token based on ETH-XBTX about to become that will be released on Bitdorado. Since things are still kept a secret regarding this token, TELOSNEWS.COM doesn’t have anything else to tell you about that topic.

If I understood right, Pascal is actively looking at the possibility to whitelabel nodes in the network so that without permission you couldn’t be running nodes. Will this be the future of Telos/XBTX, I suppose the future will show and will also be up to voting. Regardless, It seems Pascal is already starting with Birake DEX White labeling although fork of Bitshare is already in the works, and with some extra unspecified surprise to it.

Pascal also mentioned some coins that he is planning to integrate into Telos, as long as these coins are willing to. Idea is that these coins have only one use case which is same that Telos already have as a use case too. Therefore it would make sense for them to instead of running their own use-case to join forces with Telos and have a chance to expand to much further than their single-use case allows them. He mentioned three coins specifically: Aliencoin, abay, atube.

Pascal also mentioned having talked with several agents, most of whom worked with multiple exchanges, and he’s eye got especially caught on www.biki.com, which seems to have a good amount of trading going on there. Will this soon be a new exchange for Telos, I guess we will soon find that out, or if not, then after a long time of wait we realize it.

Pascal had also met with Wirex, and while listing seemed possible, it did seem too expensive to do at this moment but worry not, Pascal already had a plan on how to target towards listing in unspecified future time.

It also seems he is convinced that in the next convention he will be ripping BSV into pieces by showing Telos use cases and the next thing to check next is Dubai as he has some friends there.

Ios Wallet is about to be free and is right now waiting for Apples approval due to their new updates again.

And as the last thing. The final Model of Bluephone should already be waiting to be cleared from customs. Might not be that long anymore that we have a chance to get one.
